Adaptor - Metric Stud Male

Metric Stud Male Adaptors are designed to connect directly into metric threaded ports and conform to international standards.

• ISO 6149: Defines dimensions and performance for metric straight thread ports with O-ring sealing
  
  
• ISO 9974: Covers stud ends with metal-to-metal sealing (cutting face) for high-pressure hydraulic systems
  
  
• DIN 3852-1: Common in European hydraulic systems for metric stud connections

Metric Stud Male adaptors use parallel threads, so sealing is achieved externally via:

1. O-Ring Face Seal (ISO 6149)

   • O-ring at the face of the male fitting compresses against the flat surface of the female port
   • Leak-free under high pressure
     
     

2. Cutting Face Seal (ISO 9974-3)

   • Sharp edge on the male fitting cuts into the port face for a metal-to-metal seal
   • Ideal for extreme pressure and vibration environments
     
     

3. Bonded Seal (Dowty Washer)

   • Rubber O-ring bonded to a metal washer
   • Common in BSPP and metric applications

• ISO 6149 Stud Ends:

  • Non-adjustable: up to 630 bar (9,000 psi)
  • Adjustable: up to 400 bar (5,800 psi)

  • Designed for high-pressure hydraulic systems
  • Pressure depends on size, material, and sealing method
