Adaptor - TEE - JIC (M) x BSPP (M) x JIC (M)

This is a T-shaped hydraulic fitting that connects three lines:

  • Two ends with JIC male threads
  • One end with a BSPP male thread

Thread Types Explained

JIC (Joint Industry Council) Male

  • 37° flare fitting (SAE J514 / ISO 8434-2 standard)
  • Seals via metal-to-metal contact between the flare and a matching female seat
  • Common in hydraulic systems, especially in North America
  • Sizes range from 1/8" to 2"

BSPP (British Standard Pipe Parallel) Male

  • Parallel thread (ISO 228 standard)
  • Requires a bonded seal (O-ring) or washer to seal against a flat face
  • Common in European and Australian hydraulic and pneumatic systems
